Alexander Schaab is Vice President Autonomous Driving at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America. Before leading the Autonomous Driving activities for Mercedes Benz in North America, Alex was manager for Future Intelligent Drive Sensors at Daimler since 2015. In this role, he was responsible for engineering and the pre-development of radar and camera sensors for Mercedes Cars. Over the course of more than 10 years, Alex held leadership positions from Active Pedestrian Protection to Intelligent Drive including many innovation and task force projects. Alex also gained valuable experience in strategy development and employee development in multiple Executive Assistant positions. After graduating in electrical engineering he worked in multiple projects in telematics and chassis.
