Peter Vink is professor of Environmental Ergonomics at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His main research interests are interior design, comfort, and vehicle seat design and their applications in mobility. Peter has written more than 250 papers and books in the field of comfort, performance, and design of interior designs.
His latest book is ‘Vehicle Seat Comfort and Design’ (publisher Pumbo, 2016), which is a follow up of ‘Aircraft Interior Comfort and Design’, co-authored by Klaus Brauer, one of the leading designers of the Boeing 787 interior (CRC Press, Boca Raton, 2011). One of Peter’s current projects is the interior of the Flying V. Peter received his PhD degree in 1989 at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leiden in the field of biomechanics. He sits on the editorial board of various scientific journals (e.g. Applied Ergonomics).
