Troy has 15 years of R&D engineering experience in projects ranging from aerodynamic design of miniature drones to design, development and testing of multiple fully autonomous ground vehicles - including two autonomous DARPA Urban Challenge SUV's. He has authored multiple papers and presentations on testing methods for autonomous systems, and spoken as a guest lecturer at Harvard Law School to separate fact from fiction about “drones” in the news. Today, Troy leads a multi-disciplinary team of systems, integration, and software engineers at Draper working to develop low cost and safe Level 4+ autonomous driving functionality adaptable across many future makes and models of vehicles. Troy is a graduate of Virginia Tech with an MS in Aerospace Engineering.
