With NDS, the Navigation Data Standard e.V. is providing THE worldwide standard for map data in automotive eco-systems. Today, the physical format-based specification of NDS.Classic is used globally in millions of vehicles of over 40 automotive brands. The new generation NDS.Live is aiming at service interfaces using one common language for the whole map ecosystem. NDS.Live is transport protocol-independent and can be used for the communication within and between vehicles, companion apps and different cloud services.
