Kelly Nantel is a globally recognized strategist and communications thought leader with more than 25 years of experience in executive communications, policymaking and crisis planning and response. In 2015, she was named Vice President of Communications & Advocacy at the National Safety Council to improve safety in the nation’s workplaces, homes and communities, and on the road.
Ms. Nantel has raised the organization’s profile through such successful national campaigns as a consumer-oriented automotive safety technology website that garnered 6 billion earned media impressions, benchmarking employer data on opioid overdoses in the workplace and developing education programs, and tackling cutting edge issues such as deaths and injuries related to fatigue.
Previously, Ms. Nantel served as the Director of Public Affairs at the National Transportation Safety Board, where she significantly enhanced the NTSB’s communications capabilities, coordinating crisis communications for dozens of major transportation accident investigations, from airline crashes, train collisions, pipeline explosions, bridge collapses to maritime accidents.
Ms. Nantel has a bachelor of science in criminal justice and communications from Curry College.
