Nancy Bell, Senior Manager, External Affairs - Nancy joined FCA US LLC in 2011 and advises on an array of motor vehicle regulatory and legislative matters, such as safety and technology policy, and advocates for FCA’s interests before legislatures, agencies, and other stakeholder groups. She also serves on industry-related boards including the American Highway Users Alliance and the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety. Prior to joining Chrysler, Nancy was Associate General Counsel at AARP and counseled the Association in numerous areas, including nonprofit, political activity, tax, privacy and charitable giving law, earning the Association’s “Agent of Social Change Award” for excellence in facilitating AARP’s successful advocacy efforts on health care reform. She has also served as Senior Counsel with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and as an Attorney-Advisor for Rulemaking and International Harmonization at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), where she earned an Administrator’s Award for her work completing numerous Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act rulemakings and a Secretary’s Award as lead attorney for the MY 2005-2007 Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) rulemaking. She holds a JD, MA, and PhD from Syracuse University, a BA with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a former Fulbright Scholar.
